What does Expedia really own

For those keeping track, Expedia now owns Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotels.com, Hotwire, Trivago, TravelMob, Travelocity, CheapTickets, and eBookers, among others. Priceline's stable of online travel agencies (OTAs) now includes Booking.com, Kayak and Agoda.com.

Ever wonder how Trivago got so popular in so little time. Well you guessed it, Expedia owns them too. Funny how their commercials compare prices of all their sub companies.

Moving on with Vacation Rentals, Expedia is largely involved there as well. They are owners of Homeaway which also owns VRBO, VacationRentals, OwnersDirect, Homlidays,Abritel.fr, BedAndBreakfast, Stayz, and many more catering to specialized markets.

Of all vacation rental websites, is there one where we could go to, to find unbiased information for vacation rentals for both owners and guests alike. Tripping.com, however it is owned by Expedia as well!

Although Expedia tries to show competitive awareness among its brands, it is really there to squeeze profits out of guests, owners and eliminate its competition. If you are looking for the cheapest vacation rental price, think outside the Expedia box and get to the owner directly.
